Week Five

Inevitable
1. Impossible to avoid or prevent.
2. Invariably occurring or appearing; predictable
A sunset near Ketchikan Alsaka.  Nothing is more inevitable than the rising and setting of the sun.

Week Four

Oar
1. A long, thin, usually wooden pole with a blade at one end, used to row or steer a boat.
2. A person who rows a boat, especially in a race
But I chose to use some artistic license and went with Ore
1. A mineral or an aggregate of minerals from which a valuable constituent, especially a metal, can be profitably mined or extracted (and yes I still stretched a little)
I could not believe all the different colors of rocks that were in Two Medicine Lake in Glacier National Park.

Week Three

Loophole
1. A way of escaping a difficulty, especially an omission or ambiguity in the wording of a contract or law that provides a means of evading compliance.
2. A small hole or slit in a wall, especially one through which small arms may be fired
3. A small hole or slit in a persons shower curtain through which the shower hook may be inserted. (Yes, I made this up)
I love these shower hooks, and my shower curtain too!

Week Two

Fake
1. One that is not authentic or genuine; a sham
These are some of the flowers that sit on my kitchen table.  Even though they are fake, they make me smile.

Week 1

Some of you may have heard of a "Project 365".  Where a person posts a picture every day for a year.  Sometimes they have a theme, sometimes it is random.  I have seen these started many times.  however, I have never seen one finished.  I've thought it sounded kind of fun and would get me out taking pictures more.  Problem is, I fear I would be like all the ones I have seen started before.  So I have decided to do a Project 52.  One a week.  To decide what to post I used a Random word generator, an idea I got from another blog, Only 365 Words.  Sometimes I'll use a new photo, sometimes one from the archives.

So this week's word is Comparing-
1. To consider or describe as similar, equal, or analogous; liken.
2. To examine in order to note the similarities or differences of.
My salt and pepper grinders.  I love the contrast of the two, especially in black and white.
Next week: Fake (I have to add this here because I want to start thinking about next weeks photo, but have to lock myself in so I don't change it if I can't come up with something :) )

I Do

This weekend I helped a friend take pictures at a wedding.  She was the Maid of Honor, so couldn't do all of them.  Here are my favorites.
The cake
The Bride's sparkly shoes and the fall leaves
I love this one of the bride taking it all in.
During the ceremony

Husband and Wife
This one, his daughter refused to smile, so they decided not to also.

Dancers

This picture was a complete oops.  I started taking picture at my daughters dance class and hadn't checked my settings.  I hate it when I do that.  But I love the way this one turned out.  I don't even know what it is.  I just do
