Fall Creek and the Snake River

Let me just mention how grateful I am to live where I do.  There are so many beautiful places to visit and photograph.  A few weeks ago we took a Saturday afternoon drive to Fall Creek.  Last year for Christmas my husband got a book form his brother-in-law that tells about some amazing back country drives.  This was one of those.  We had driven basically around it a million times.  But who knew there was this beautiful creek that empties into the Snake River by way of this amazing waterfall.  We stopped and had a picnic here by Fall Creek.
Then we stopped at the waterfall.  Honestly, the best way to view the waterfall would be from a boat in the river.  But you get the idea of how pretty it is.
And if you turn 90 degrees to your right this is the view you get.  Amazing!  No wonder this is a destination for so many people.  But I am lucky enough for it to just be an afternoon drive away.

Week Eleven

Tailored
1. Made by a tailor; custom-made.
2. Simple, trim, or severe in line or design
As you can see I'm going with a loosely with the first definition.  This is the LDS Temple in San Diego, Ca.  It is hardly simple, but incredibly beautiful and definitely custom-made.  It's architecture is amazing and the grounds match it's beauty.

Next Week:   Honey

1. A slim, pointed piece of metal hammered into material as a fastener.
2. a. A fingernail or toenail.
    b. A claw or talon.

My daughter and I hopefully polished our toenails the other day.  Maybe, just maybe, it will warm up so we can show them off in more than play shoes before it wears off.

Week 1

Some of you may have heard of a "Project 365".  Where a person posts a picture every day for a year.  Sometimes they have a theme, sometimes it is random.  I have seen these started many times.  however, I have never seen one finished.  I've thought it sounded kind of fun and would get me out taking pictures more.  Problem is, I fear I would be like all the ones I have seen started before.  So I have decided to do a Project 52.  One a week.  To decide what to post I used a Random word generator, an idea I got from another blog, Only 365 Words.  Sometimes I'll use a new photo, sometimes one from the archives.

So this week's word is Comparing-
1. To consider or describe as similar, equal, or analogous; liken.
2. To examine in order to note the similarities or differences of.
My salt and pepper grinders.  I love the contrast of the two, especially in black and white.
Next week: Fake (I have to add this here because I want to start thinking about next weeks photo, but have to lock myself in so I don't change it if I can't come up with something :) )
