I love the film of this dragon fly's wings I found last summer.

I have had to do a little catch up.  Our computer crashed a few weeks ago but I finally have it back.  Luckily we were able to recover things.  So in order to get most of these up I have gone back through the archives.

Week Seven

Deputy

1. A person appointed or empowered to act for another.

2. An assistant exercising full authority in the absence of his or her superior and equal authority in emergencies: a deputy to the sheriff.

3. A representative in a legislative body in certain countries.

Income

1. The amount of money or its equivalent received during a period of time in exchange for labor or services, from the sale of goods or property, or as profit from financial investments.

2. The act of coming in; entrance.

The dollar my son just earned after losing his first tooth.

Inevitable

1. Impossible to avoid or prevent.

2. Invariably occurring or appearing; predictable

A sunset near Ketchikan Alsaka.  Nothing is more inevitable than the rising and setting of the sun.

Oar

1. A long, thin, usually wooden pole with a blade at one end, used to row or steer a boat.

2. A person who rows a boat, especially in a race

But I chose to use some artistic license and went with Ore

1. A mineral or an aggregate of minerals from which a valuable constituent, especially a metal, can be profitably mined or extracted (and yes I still stretched a little)

I could not believe all the different colors of rocks that were in Two Medicine Lake in Glacier National Park.

Loophole

1. A way of escaping a difficulty, especially an omission or ambiguity in the wording of a contract or law that provides a means of evading compliance.

2. A small hole or slit in a wall, especially one through which small arms may be fired 

3. A small hole or slit in a persons shower curtain through which the shower hook may be inserted. (Yes, I made this up)

I love these shower hooks, and my shower curtain too!

These are some of the flowers that sit on my kitchen table.  Even though they are fake, they make me smile.
